How Launchpool Works
Binance regularly lists new cryptocurrency projects. Before official trading begins, Launchpool lets users "mine" these new tokens in advance.
The flow: Binance announces a new Launchpool project, opens the staking period (usually 7-30 days), you deposit BNB (or other specified tokens) into the pool, receive new token rewards proportional to your stake every hour, and when the period ends, your principal is returned in full plus the new tokens you earned.
Think of it as a bank deposit with bonus rewards — your BNB is just "lent" temporarily, returned in full at maturity, plus free new tokens.
Participation Steps
Step 1: Check current projects

Step 2: Prepare participation tokens — Most projects require BNB. If you do not have BNB, buy some on the spot market. Some projects also accept FDUSD or other stablecoins, but the BNB pool usually gets the largest reward allocation.
Step 3: Stake your tokens — Enter the project page, select the pool (BNB or stablecoin), enter the amount to stake, and tap "Stake."
Step 4: Wait for rewards — Rewards are calculated hourly. Check your earned tokens anytime.
Step 5: Claim rewards — Claim mined tokens to your spot account anytime, or collect everything when the event ends. Your BNB automatically unlocks and returns.
How Much Can You Earn?
Returns depend on: how much you stake (more BNB = more tokens), total participation (more participants = smaller individual share), and the new token's value (its listing price directly determines your earnings).
Typical example: A Launchpool with 100 million new tokens total, 70 million allocated to the BNB pool, 50 million BNB staked total, you stake 100 BNB. Your share: 100/50,000,000 = 0.0002%. You earn: 70,000,000 x 0.0002% = 14,000 new tokens. If the token lists at $0.50, you made $7,000.
Actual returns vary — tokens may list higher or lower. But since your principal is never at risk, the worst case is the new tokens are not worth much and you just spent some time.
Maximizing Launchpool Returns
Participate immediately: Launchpool staking opens quickly after announcements. Earlier participation means a larger share when fewer people have joined.
Hold sufficient BNB: The BNB pool typically receives 70%+ of total rewards, making BNB participation the most rewarding. Long-term BNB holding with regular Launchpool participation is a popular passive income strategy.
Research project quality: Not all projects deserve full commitment. Understanding the new project's background, team, and market sector helps assess potential. Hot-sector quality projects may surge after listing.
Post-listing strategy: After the new token starts trading, you can sell immediately to lock profits, hold for a higher price, or sell half and keep half. Most new tokens experience extreme volatility on their first trading day — if uncertain, selling at least half to secure profits is wise.
Launchpool vs. Launchpad
Do not confuse the two: Launchpool stakes tokens to mine new coins — principal is not reduced, essentially risk-free. Launchpad purchases new tokens with BNB — costs money, subject to price risk. Both provide access to new tokens, but Launchpool has lower risk while Launchpad has potentially higher returns.
